I attract only the Best!

"Take it easy -- but take it."

- Woody Guthrie, was an American singer-songwriter and folk musician.

"Don't follow any advice, no matter how good, until you feel as deeply in your spirit as you think in your mind that the counsel is wise."

- Joan Rivers, is an American comedian, television personality and actress.

"People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within."

- Ramona L. Anderson, author.

Will Smith said it best: "You can tell how far in life you'll go by the 5 people you spend the most amount of time with." I remember the first time I heard this quote it totally rearranged my whole brain. I took a look around me and - BOY - did I see that some changes had to be made!

If you want to go far in life, it's VITAL that you surround yourself with people who love you, people who are looking out for your best interests and people who want you to win. Also - and PLEASE HEAR ME - when taking advice, not everyone's advice is equal - please, PLEASE take advice from people who HAVE what YOU WANT.

You wouldn't ask a plumber how to treat your cold and likewise you shouldn't ask people who haven't accomplished - how to accomplish. There may be PLENTY of well-meaning people in your life who are giving you horrible advice.

It could be their own limiting beliefs playing out, it could be that they want you to live a safe life and that taking risks is equivalent to possible failure, who knows, but believe me when I say that you don't want to take advice from "guessers". Guessers are those people who haven't accomplished something that you are asking for advice about. Since they don't know, all they can really do is guess.

If you want to start a business, get advice from SUCCESSFUL business people in your field. If you want LOVE advice, get advice from someone who has an amazing relationship (not the closed down person with a chip on their shoulder).

Who you choose to surround yourself with and take advice from is a huge factor in how successful you will become.

So, who are you hanging out with these days?

Love, Mastin
I surround myself with people who love & support me.
I attract only the best.
I accept only the best.

I am WORTHY to be Loved!

"Ask for what you want and be prepared to get it!"

Maya Angelou, epic poet.

"There is nothing for you to go back and live over, or fix, or feel regret about now. Every part of your life has unfolded just right.  And so - now - knowing all that you know from where you now stand, now what do you want? The answers are now coming forth to you. Go forth in joy, and get on with it."

Esther Hicks, best-selling author & speaker.

"You can't ask for what you want unless you know what it is. A lot of people don't know what they want or they want much less than they deserve. First you have figure out what you want. Second, you have to decide that you deserve it. Third, you have to believe you can get it. And, fourth, you have to have the guts to ask for it."

Without asking for what you want, it is almost impossible to get it. Asking is a crucial step towards manifesting your Highest Potential. Have the courage to open up and ask for what you want. The Uni-verse can only deliver to you what you ask of it; if there is no asking, there is no receiving.

Deep down you want the best kind of life, I know. But is there a part of you that doesn't feel worthy? Is there a part of you that doesn't feel love-able? Is there a part of you that feels that you don't deserve to have a happy life? That perhaps your happiness has to come in second place to the happiness of everyone else in your life? Do you settle for only helping make other people happy and leave yourself tired, unfulfilled and drained?

If yes, then let this message be a wake up call!

You DO deserve happiness! You DO deserve to live your best life! You DO deserve to be supported, loved and nurtured. You DO deserve all the good stuff.

Don't get caught up in the word "deserve". This is not an entitled thought, but a very real thought, because as a child of The Uni-verse, you were born to have a rich and abundant life. This is what I mean by deserve... It is your natural birthright.

To have these things and more, you have to open up and ask. Ask for your needs to be met in your relationships... Ask for what you REALLY want and DON'T settle.

Know your worth, ask for what you truly want & then get out of your own way. It's comin, if you just open up and let it in.

Love, Mastin
I ask for what I truly want and it finds me with ease.
I am worthy.
Joy is my birthright, I welcome joy in every aspect of my life.

Never Give Up!

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."

Thomas Edison, was an American inventor, scientist, and businessman.

"Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent."

Marilyn vos Savant, is an American magazine columnist, author, lecturer, and playwright

"Defeat may test you; it need not stop you. If at first you don't succeed, try another way. For every obstacle there is a solution. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. The greatest mistake is giving up."

- Anon

"Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there is a series of obstacles, and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles. Your decision to be, have and do something out of the ordinary entails facing difficulties and challenges that are out of the ordinary as well. Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone else."

Push past the point at which you want to give up. The darkest moment is before the dawn. You cannot break through to a new life if you are not willing to fully commit to your outcome.

See all that happens as happening for your best interest. Once you have asked for something it shall be yours, and so will all the blocks that currently exist that are in the way of what you want. These blocks are not there to make you stop, but to make you stronger, wiser and better able to navigate the challenges of life.

Keep the desire burning strong within you to achieve your goal. Desire is the predecessor of manifestation. Then throw yourself into action. Throw yourself into your dream's pursuit. The darkness will come... and it is at THAT moment that you will shine brightest - FROM WITHIN.

Love, Mastin
I get up one more time.
I will see this through to the end.
I am a powerful creator, my desire is stronger than my circumstance.

Seek Clarity!

"Stop thinking in terms of limitations and start thinking in terms of possibilities."

- Terry Josephson,  best-selling author.

"I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be."

- Douglas Noel Adams, was an English writer and dramatist. He is best known as the author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

"Before you agree to do anything that might add even the smallest amount of stress to your life, ask yourself: What is my truest intention? Give yourself time to let a yes resound within you. When it's right, I guarantee that your entire body will feel it."

Oprah Winfrey, the one & only.

In life there are a some very fundamental traits that it takes to be a success. Love, heart, persistence, patience, passion, faith and so on. Today, I want to talk about CLARITY.

One of my recent business partners has taught me all about clarity. I learned about it while I was actively working with him, but now he's left to country to pursue a wonderful opportunity that came his way. In the wake of him leaving, I have had to pick up a side of the business I have not had to focus on as much until now. Being that I write 250-300 items a week, my primary focus has been on creativity, but now my focus is switching back to not only being creative, but running operations, too.

I love being creative. It's where I shine the most. Even as a manager in the music business, I was never focused on the numbers. I loved the dream, what was possible, what the notes sounded like and what kind of STORY could be told through the band's branding. I've always loved Richard Branson's view on life, which is be creative and then surround yourself with the best team to make that vision real. With a vital member of that team gone, I've have to re-focus my efforts.

It's been amazing. The key phrase my former partner drilled into my head was "Mastin, we get paid to SEEK CLARITY". When I first heard this I was astonished. It's profound. It's so simple, but profound.

His challenge to me is to get to the root of what I want and mean and the root of what other people want and mean. This may sound simple, but it's not easy. To get clarity around anything requires true communication. It also requires being in a partnership or relationship with someone who is WILLING to communicate their honest and true feelings.

I can't tell you how many times I've been afraid of doing this because of fear of rejection, being alone or not getting my needs met. I had realized that much of my life had been spent holding on to things that didn't serve me, because getting 25% of the love, attention, affection or compensation that I really wanted was way better than possibly ending up with 0%. But as I have learned on The Path, the Uni-verse will heed to me all my heart's desire; I just have to be willing to let go of everything that doesn't match it.

So how does this tie into clarity? Well, if you are clear about what you want, it makes the filtering and choosing process much easier. If you are clear about what you want with people from the beginning it makes for much better partnerships and relationships. And if you are clear about what you want, it also makes it much easier to walk away from situations that are in alignment with what you want.

So as I have been sorting through the different business deals, investor potentials and the like, it's been very important to get clarity and make sure that I am on the same page as the other people involved. This has been scary because so much hangs in the balance, but at the end of the day, no matter how much money or opportunity weighs in the balance, if both parties aren't headed in the same direction then it won't matter.

Getting clarity about what you want and mean helps you attract the right people, place and circumstances. It also helps you say NO to the wrong ones.
I'd love for all of us to get clarity today. Clarity about what we want, what we mean, what we need and then have the courage to express that and NOT settle. Who's with me?

Love, Mastin
I seek clarity in all my affairs.
I ask for what I want and don't settle for anything less.
I let go of anything or anyone that doesn't serve my happiness.
Joy finds me with ease.

I love me some him. Does he love me?

"Love is a promise, love is a souvenir, once given never forgotten, never let it disappear."

John Lennon, the man, the myth, the Beatle.

"The minute I heard my first love story I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along."

- Rumi, Sufi mystic and poet.

"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."

Happy Valentine's Day! :o)

Today is a day to celebrate Love. But not just the romantic kind. If you don't have a Valentine like me, fret not. A lot of my friends call today "Single's Awareness Day" instead of Valentine's Day.

Today has been propped up to make us all believe that we have to be in a relationship if we're single and if we're in a relationship that we have to prove our love to each other on this day. But that's not what I believe the spirit of Valentine's Day to be.

Today is a day to celebrate Love. Love of yourself, love for life, for struggles, for everyone in your life, for who is IN your life as well as
love for who is OUT of your life. If you're single, today is a great day to celebrate your freedom and embrace even more courage to be more open, more loving and more curious about love.

There are such rich moments that come from being single. Being single gives you the opportunity to get out there and date and discover who you are, what you like, don't' like and what works best for you. Don't let today be another reminder about how you "can't find love" - that's victim speak. Let today be a celebration that you are on your path of discovery. Tonight - take yourself out on a date.

If you're in a relationship, today isn't about PROVING your love to each other, but instead continuing to strip away the layers that prevent love from emerging in your relationship. There's no need to prove your love to that special someone with some grandiose display (though we're not saying you shouldn't be creative or over the top).

Today is a day to express your love, but what is the intention behind it? Are you trying to make up for all the times you didn't express your love in one big statement? If so - fail.

Today should set the TONE for how you treat each other EVERY DAY in your relationship. It's wonderful to celebrate V-Day, but you don't have to have only one day where you REALLY celebrate each other.

Every moment is a gift given to you from The Uni-verse. How you love your partner today, whatever you express to them today, should be a new standard for how you celebrate them every day moving forward. You can express your love at any time. Life is not about waiting for Valentine's Day to show your lover how much you can love, but letting Valentine's Day be the example for how you can love every day.

No matter who or where you find yourself today, know that there is great love available to you in every moment. It could be in the person you're next to right now, just waiting to be revealed though one single courageous act of expressing how you truly feel, or that love could be in putting yourself out there and seeing what works for you and what doesn't.

Either way, let today be a day that you celebrate Love. Let today be a celebration of the love that you have for yourself and your ability to share that love with everyone who means something to you.

Love, Mastin
I love myself with all the love in the world.
I express my love to it's FULLEST potential every day!
I draw even MORE love to me as I give my love away.

True Love Never Dies

"Do not fear. Look beyond what's dying to what's being born."

Marianne Williamson, is a best-selling author, motivational speaker and just a plain amazing woman.

"Somewhere in your make-up there lies sleeping, the seed of achievement which, if aroused and put into action, would carry you to heights, such as you may never have hope to attain."

Napoleon Hill, from his groundbreaking book "Think and Grow Rich".

"The whole course of things goes to teach us faith. We need only obey. There is guidance for each of us, and by lowly listening, we shall hear the right word."

Ralph Waldo Emerson, was the leader of the Transcendental movement and his works have refueled a modern awakening.

"I've been driven all my life by a spirit of adventure and a criminal level of optimism. I believed in my dreams because they were my only option. The people who make it to the top - whether they're musicians, or great chefs, or corportate honchos - are addicted to their calling. You have to honor the gift God has given you. The people who get the call are the ones who'd be doing whatever it is they love, even if they weren't being paid."

Quincy Jones, has been nominated for 79 Grammy's and won 27 Grammy's. He is a conductor, arranger, producer and composer.

Raise your standards today. Push the limits of what you think you're capable of doing. When you put your mind to it, anything is possible.

Today, transcend the thoughts of "I can't", by not letting yourself off the hook and holding no one but yourself responsible for your success.

"I can't" is really "I choose not to". There is no room for an "I can't" attitude on the path of your dreams. From this moment forward do not ask "Why is it so hard?", instead ask "What else can I do today to create even more success is my life"? There should be nothing you aren't willing to do to make it happen (within the legal boundaries, of course, you little deviant!).

Resistance, blocks and the impossible are shattered once you create positive momentum every day. No more "I can'ts"... Let yourself be full with "I must and I am".

Love, Mastin
I must.
I am.
I start now.
I don't have to get it perfect, I just have to start.
