"Every situation, properly perceived, becomes an opportunity to heal."
- A Course in Miracles
"The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them."
- Thomas Merton, 20th Century Catholic writer.

"To offer no resistance to life is to be in a state of grace, ease, and lightness. This state is then no longer dependent upon things being in a certain way, good or bad. It seems almost paradoxical, yet when your inner dependency on form is gone, the general conditions of your life, the outer forms, tend to improve greatly. Things, people, or conditions that you thought you needed for your happiness now come to you with no struggle or effort on your part, and you are free to enjoy and appreciate them. Life flows with ease."

- Eckhart Tolle, best-selling author and spiritual teacher.
If you only love someone when they give you what you want, you don't love them, you love getting what you want.
This isn't to say that you should let people walk all over you, no. Boundaries are important. Giving and receiving are important.
But choosing to love someone is one of the most selfless acts a human being can perform.
When you hold a space of love for someone whatever the outcome YOU will become a stronger person for it and the person who you love will be healed by your love.
Do not retreat because you are afraid of not getting what you want, step outside of yourself and have the courage to love someone today. Both of you will be better off for it.
Today I will meet challenge with a postive attitude because I know I can handle it!
I give to others what I wish to receive from them with no expectation of return.
I give myself the love I desire from others.
I am one with life, whatever happens today is FOR my growth and benefit.

Acceptance of What is!

"See if you can catch yourself complaining in either speech or thought, about a situation you find yourself in, what other people do or say, your surroundings, your life situation, even the weather. To complain is always nonacceptance of what is. It invariably carries an unconscious negative charge. When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness."

Eckhart Tolle, German born best-selling author.

"Right now, and in every now-moment, you are either closing or opening. You are either stressfully waiting for something - more money, security, affection - or you are living from your deep heart, opening as the entire moment, and giving what you most deeply desire to give, without waiting."

David Deida, author and teacher.

"Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary. Then ask yourself, and yourself alone, one question . . . Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn't. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you."
Carlos Castaneda, was a Peruvian-born American anthropologist and author.
Our attempts to control people, situations and outcomes is one of the biggest self imposed blocks we can create to prevent all the good stuff from finding us.
The only thing we have control over is our attitude, everything else is outside of our realm. When we accept reality as it is we then gain the perspective and power to change our reality.
When we let go and let people decide for themselves and stop holding on to people who don't want to be held on to we create serenity in our lives. We also create room for those who WANT to be with us.
Let go, let people choose for themselves. Show up, do your work and surrender the outcome.
Making this one choice will bring tremendous benefit to your life.
I accept reality as it is right now.
I choose healthy, loving and peaceful thoughts.
I see with my Heart and choose accordingly.

Love Yourself!

"I think when you get to the point where you don't need to be in love, then you could be in love. You have to just be OK with yourself."
John Cusack, actor

"The most important aspect of love is not in giving or the receiving: it's in the being. When I need love from others, or need to give love to others, I'm caught in an unstable situation. Being in love, rather than giving or taking love, is the only thing that provides stability. Being in love means seeing the Beloved all around me."

Ram Dass, author and spiritual teacher.

"Tell everyone you know: "My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook." And then demonstrate it. Be happy, no matter what they're doing. Practice feeling good, no matter what. And before you know it, you will not give anyone else responsibility for the way you feel-and then, you'll love them all. Because the only reason you don't love them, is because you're using them as your excuse to not feel good."

- Esther Abraham-Hicks, is a best-selling author and motivational speaker.
It's not really love when you are expecting something in return. Love, true love, is a bold choice and action you take towards yourself and others.
It is a real blessing and miracle every time your love for someone else is reciprocated. Be grateful for those people in your life who give you love, they do not have to, but they chose to.
If you don't have a lot of people in your life who love you, stay focused on giving your love away and watch how your world changes slowly day by day.
Because we can't see life from the perspective of our Creator, our attachments to people can lead to suffering.
Let go of attachment to outcome and simply love today. Know the Uni-verse is conspiring on your behalf and then sit back and watch the miracles unfold.
I let go of my expectation of what should happen.
I surrender the outcome of all my relationships to the Uni-verse.
I do not need to change myself to please others, I only just be myself and let others do what they may.

Take Charge of your life!

"When you take charge of your life, there is no longer a need to ask permission of other people or society at large. When you ask permission, you give someone veto power over your life."
- Geoffrey F. Abert, was a French philosopher and priest.

"If you're always in a hurry, always trying to get ahead of the other guy, or someone else's performance is what motivates you, then that person is in control of you."
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
, best-selling motivational author.
"Any time I am in resentment, I am not taking care of myself. I am blaming someone else for something I need to do."
"The higher the expectations, the lower the serenity. I try to keep my boundaries high, my expectations low, and my heart open."
The only time I feel disconnected from myself and my Source is when I try to control other people. It can happen in the subtlest of ways.
I've come to realize that the degree to which I try to control other people is the degree to which I do not trust the Uni-verse.
What helps me let go and trust is remembering on a daily basis that I am seen & acknowledged by those who love me, I am enough, I am loveable and that all my needs are met.
When I remember these things I no longer afraid and don't feel the need to interrupt the Uni-verse's plans for others. When the fear is gone I return to the happy place of following my own bliss.
I am loveable.
I am seen & acknowledge.
I see and acknowledge myself.
All my needs are met, right now.
I am enough, as is.

Having an Attitude of Gratitude

God is an amazing God. I have been through a lot of trials and tribulations in my life. I know he is always in control of every situation. I am glad that I have learned to put him first in my life. His Grace and Mercy keeps me going. I am thankful.
Pray that his will be done.
Ask, ye shall receive it.
